The Dhaulagiri Base Camp is a challenging and one of the best trek among the many trekking in Nepal. The mountain’s name “Dhaulagiri” comes from Sanskrit where dhaula means dazzling, white, beautiful and giri means mountain, the 7th highest mountain in the world. We start the trek from low elevation following the Myagdi river and ascent to high elevation including Italian Base Camp, Dhaulagiri Base Camp and passing through the 2 significant passes “French Pass” & “Dhampus Pass” and explore “Hidden Valley” between these 2 passes; which is like a hidden treasure!
